How It Works

A teacher, in minutes.
Not next Tuesday.

loop is on demand. You ask when your child is actually stuck — not when a timetable says so.

Four steps, about a minute of admin

  1. 1

    Say what they’re stuck on

Pick the subject and your child’s year level. That’s the whole form.

  2. 2

We ask the teachers who can help

Your request goes to registered teachers who are free right now and who teach that subject at that level. It stays open for 30 minutes — if nobody picks it up, it closes and you are not charged anything.

  3. 3

    Learn, one to one

Video, audio and a shared whiteboard you can both draw on. Twenty minutes with a qualified New Zealand teacher, on the thing they are actually stuck on.

  4. 4

    Read what happened

A written report lands in your inbox: what they worked on, what clicked, what to look at next. A person at loop reads every report before you do.

What you need

  • A laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone
  • A reasonable internet connection
  • A quiet-ish spot — a kitchen table is fine

What it costs

$30

per 20-minute lesson, GST included

One price, known before you start. No subscription, no packs, nothing to cancel — and no meter turning minutes into money while your child works.

When a teacher accepts we place a $30 hold on your card, and charge it after the lesson. If a lesson falls over in its first five minutes, you are not charged at all.
